I am booking FastPasses soon & need to know how to do this with Rider Swap. Do all of us book a FP, even if only some of us will be riding? Can I book a FP for me & my 8 year old, then do a Rider Swap with my husband without booking a FP for him?

Hi Melissa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Rider switch is very convenient for adults traveling with kids or guests unable to ride some attractions.  All guests that are older than three years old and are riding a desired attraction will need a FastPass+, if the attraction is one of your advanced selections. If you don’t want a FastPass+ for certain attraction, you can always enter on the regular standby line to enjoy it. Rider switch will be available for both FastPass+ and regular lines.
This is how it works: make sure the attraction you are planning to ride offers this special service and get in the line with all your party. When it is your turn to ride, the other adult will be taken to a designated area with the person who is not riding. When you get back, it is time for the second adult, who was waiting, to ride, without waiting in line. A cast member will take him to attraction’s entrance. Get ready for having lots of fun!
Hope this helps your planning. Please, come back again if you have further questions.
    Have a magical day!
