When booking FastPass+ at 60 days, Slinky Dog Dash was already gone! My daughters really want to go on this ride when we are there in September... What are your best tips for getting on the ride without too long of a wait? Thank you!

Hello Kristin, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

I am happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon, but I am sad to hear that you were not able to get a FastPass+ reservation for an attraction on your must do list. FastPass+ is one of the best ways to save time waiting in the Standby line for the newest attractions at Disney Theme Parks. I have a few tips on how you can still “play big” while minimizing your wait time for Slinky Dog Dash.

My first tip is to keep checking My Disney Experience for FastPass+ openings. There have been times when a FastPass+ was not available, but as my trip got closer, I find that some slots may open up. This is usually due to other guests changing their plans. My next tip is to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the regular park opening. I would suggest heading straight to Slinky Dog Dash first when there are not so many guests in the park. If you are unable to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, I would suggest arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before they open and making a beeline towards Slinky Dog Dash. The line will be a bit shorter first thing in the morning than it will be as the day goes on. My last suggestion is to download and use the My Disney Experience Mobile App. The app will give you real-time wait times for all rides and attractions at Walt Disney World. Whenever I notice a ride or attraction has a reduced wait time is when I make my way over to the Standby line. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
