We are booking fast passes and are going with a large group with vast age groups. Should be use the fast pass for the older kids and adult rides or for the rides everyone can ride our youngest two are 2 yrs old and 6 months old?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather! What a great question! I went with my family (two little kids), my parents and brother just last year. That meant we were ages 1-63 and everyone wanted plenty of entertainment.

We certainly used Rider Switch Service to entertain the older generations while the baby napped or took on the carousel, but when it came time for classic attractions that have very long lines (think Frozen Ever After or Peter Pan’s Flight), everyone went through the FP+ queue. Children under age 3 don’t need tickets, MagicBands or FP+ reservations, so it’s easy to bring them with you. Our family passes through the lines quickly when we combine Rider Switch Service and FP+, but sometimes, it’s easy to take turns entertaining the kids on Journey of the Little Mermaid with someone who doesn’t like thrills while the rest of the gang spins themselves dizzy on Mad Tea Party. My family made FastPass+ reservations, allowing the adults and our grade schooler to get wet on Splash Mountain while we all passed through It’s A Small World without leaving anyone behind. Magic Kingdom, by far, is the most all-height friendly park, while your combo of Rider Switch and FP+ will do wonders in Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Should your little ones need a nap, you can let the older teens and adults visit the parks and entertain themselves in the interactive queues. If you have any more questions about how Rider Switch Service works or how else to enjoy your extended family vacation, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
