We are booking excursions such as the stingray adventure while at Castaway Cay. We have a toddler (age 2) will he be allowed to attend or should we book the nursery for him during this time?

    Welcome aboard, Sarah!

Visiting Castaway Cay is one of my family's most favorite destinations whenever we're on the Disney Cruise. The beach is beautiful and you won't find any other location that is as family friendly as this special private island. Disney really makes it such a treat and there is so much to do for everyone in the family. The convenience of having all the amenities of the ship well within 10 minutes is unbeatable.

My family and I learned quite a bit about stingrays from doing the Stingray Adventure at the lagoon. Your 2 year old will be too little to participate in this activity though. This activity is meant more for kids who are at least 5 years old. If you do end up doing this, I'm sure you'll enjoy feeding the stingrays and also snorkeling along side with them in the lagoon. While you enjoy this excursion, your 2-year old can enjoy his time at the Nursery. Once you're done, it takes a quick 10 minutes or so to head back to the ship and check him out. Lather on his sunscreen and take him off the ship to play at the family beach on Castaway Cay. He will love playing in the sand and I'm sure  you'll have lots of great beach pictures to share with friends and family.

Have a great time sailing with Captain Mickey, Sarah! Let us know if you need any help with planning your upcoming cruise.

Wishing you a pixie dusted voyage!
