Giraffes at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Hi I have booked a 2 week stay at animal kingdom lodge on 13/4/19 which is through Easter. I am now concerned about the crowd level that will be there as we had thought that spring break is usually over by early April but not in 2019.

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emma. With warm weather and special events like the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, Spring is a lovely time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort

I can understand your concern about crowd levels during your April visit. Walt Disney World Resort is usually quite busy the weeks before and after Easter. That said, my family typically visits during school breaks when the crowd levels are relatively high, and we've found them to be manageable! Since you're staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, an exclusive perk for Resort hotel Guests. Extra Magic Hours are offered each day at one or more theme parks, either an hour prior to park opening, or two hours after the park closes in the evening. Taking advantage of this special perk will afford you daily time in the theme parks when the crowds are low! Using Disney's FastPass+ service will also help you manage the crowds. As a Resort hotel Guest, you'll have early access to FastPass+ planning, giving you the most availability for attractions and experiences. I recommend an early arrival to the theme parks in the morning, when the crowds are at their lowest. Begin using your FastPass+ selections mid-morning when the crowds begin to peak. Leave the park shortly after lunch for an afternoon break at your Resort hotel, and return to the park in the evening when the crowds begin to thin out again.

You'll love Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. An afternoon break from the theme parks is the perfect time to enjoy their many educational and free programs!

Please visit us again soon, Emma!
