I have booked my WDW vacation over Memorial Day weekend and plan to go to SWW. I wonder if the magic bands will be linked to the fast passes for autographs and character spots. If so, it would change the camping out or up at the crack of dawn guests.

    Hi Michelle ~

I can't wait for the 2014 Star Wars Weekends!  That is an excellent question especially since a lot of things are changing with the new FastPass+ system.  In the past years, the celebrity autograph FASTPASSES were not linked to your park tickets and were distributed outside of the gates of Disney's Hollywood Studio on a first come first serve basis. As you know, that brought on Guests arriving super early to get in line for those coveted tickets.  There were no FASTPASSES for the special character appearances either - those were all standby lines.

We may not know the answer to this until the 2014 Star Wars Weekends event dates are released. Hopefully at that time or closer to the actual events, we'll get information as to whether or not Disney will incorporate FastPass+ for the Celebrity Autograph Sessions and Special Character Appearances.

Here's what I'd recommend: Keep your eyes on the link above and the Disney Parks Blog for an announcement regarding the 2014 Star Wars Weekends dates. You can subscribe to the Disney Parks Blog daily emails so that you'll be notified of new blog posts with all the latest exciting news. If you're on twitter, be sure to follow @DisneyParks and @WaltDisneyWorld. You can also keep your eyes on the official Walt Disney World Facebook page. Hopefully once they make the announcement, they will start releasing information including if they plan to incorporate any of the incredible experiences at Star Wars Weekends with FastPass+.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!
