just booked visit to WDW for 12/2 - 12/8. first trip in a long time and first with our kids(ages 10,7,5). When you redeem meal credits say for table service is it just giving you a discount on the bill or do those credits cover what you order for that meal

    Hi Justin,

The Disney Dining Plan is a wonderful way to try all the fantastic restaurants at Walt Disney World.  You will have a certain amount of Quick Service, Table Service, and Snack credits per person per night you are staying in a Disney resort.  For the regular Disney Dining Plan, that would be one of each per person.  When you eat at a Table Service restaurant, you will have your credits deducted after you are done eating.   You meal includes an entree, non-alcoholic drink, and a dessert. The Dining Plan will cover all of this except gratuity.  Some restaurants are worth two Table Service credits such as Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom.  The PDF file that I linked for you above will help you to decide what restaurants are two credits.  Your children under the age of nine will order off of the kid's menu and your ten year old can order off the adult menu.  Please let me know if I can help you further with any other dining questions, Justin!  I know your vacation will be just magical.
