    Denise Asked

Hi, we booked a vacation through a travel agent using United Vacations, staying at the WDW Dolphin. I'm not able to link it thru My Reservations :( Will I still be able to book restaurant reservations through there? Thank you

    Hi, Denise!

This sounds confusing, but although the beautiful Dolphin Resort is on Disney property, it is actually a Sheraton Resort.  You will get some of the benefits of staying at WDW such as Extra Magic Hours and WDW bus transportation around property, but you will not get charging privileges at the parks on your room key or use of Disney's Magical Express to and from the airport.  You also will not be able to access your reservation through the Disney website or do online check-in.

You will be able to book your dining reservations on the Disney website, including restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin. However, guests of the Swan and Dolphin cannot purchase the Disney Dining Plan.  (See what I mean about this whole process being confusing?)  You can book your dining up to 180 days in advance.

I love staying at the Swan and Dolphin. The location to the Boardwalk, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios is awesome.  There are a few hidden fees, just in case your travel agent did not fill you in:  There is a daily resort fee and also a fee to park if you have a car.  There is also that extra cost to get to and from the airport if you do not have a rental car.

My husband and I stay quite often at the Swan (the sister resort to the Dolphin) so let me know if you have any other questions about this beautiful vacation destination!
