I booked our vacation to Disneyland for May 28th through the 30th of this year with park hoppers. I just found out that two of those nights are Grad nights. Are there any park closures or closed events I should be aware of?

    Hello, Hannah!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question. I’m glad you’re planning a magic-packed trip to the Disneyland Resort! There'll be so much for you to experience since Pixar Fest will be in full swing, including the debut of the new Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show, plus the first performances of the popular Paint the Night parade in Disney California Adventure Park and Pixar Play Parade in Disneyland Park.

During Grad Nite events, both parks should be open for normal operating hours. Disney California Adventure Park will be closed to the public by 10:00 p.m. for the teens to enjoy a private party, but this is outside the normal operating hours for the park so it won’t affect your plans. However, be aware that Disneyland Park crowd levels may be impacted during the day as the Grad Nite students enjoy that park before moving over to Disney California Adventure Park in the evening.

With the help of Disney FASTPASS service and Disney MaxPass, you should have lots of opportunities to experience your must-dos. I recommend that you check out the theme park attractions list online prior to your vacation. It can be sorted by age interest, height requirement and thrill level. Pick the attractions you want to make your highest priority so you can create a strategic touring plan for each day.

I hope this helps you plan, Hannah. Please feel free to send more questions as your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth draws near!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
