I booked our trip & meal plan, but was later diagnosed with a disorder that makes eating difficult. I would like order appetizers instead of entrees if possible to avoid wasting food. If not allowed, will calling ahead or having a doctor's note help?

    Hi Kathie,

The one thing about Disney that I love is how they work with guests who have health issues. The way they approach a guests with special dining needs has always impressed me. My daughter who has a seafood allergy has the chef come out and talk to her about what she can and can not have. Even at Cape May Cafe, seafood buffet clambake, Chef walks her around to tell her the options and then will customize if necessary and Chef makes her feel like it is not an issue:)

As for your instance, I would reach out to the cast members with Disney's Special Diets team. You can email them at specialdiets@disneyworld.com and ask them what options you have. They would know best how to make you meals magical.

Also, if you need to bring items into the park for your diet, you absolutely can.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
