Just booked a trip for 11/30-12/5/10 to avoid crowds and see holiday decorations, but read a few entries about 1st week of Dec recently being busy. Have always visited in Apr/May - do you think there'll be a noticeable difference? LOVE panel - many thanks!

    Hi Lauren!

I think you've picked a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! The first week of December will most likely have lower crowds than you experienced in late April/early May. Typically, the parks experience lower crowd levels after the Thanksgiving holiday week ends and before the Christmas holiday begins.

Another great perk of this time of year is the holiday decor! Both the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated. The holiday spirit will be all around you - from the enormous gingerbread house featured at the Grand Floridian to the 4-story tall Christmas tree at the Wilderness Lodge. The Magic Kingdom features a beautiful Christmas tree and, during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, it even snows on Main Street!

I hope you have a great trip and enjoy this time of year - you won't be disappointed!
