We just booked our tickets to go to Disney World from January 14th-21st and I didn't realize MLK day fell on the first full day we would be there! Is Magic Kingdom crowded throughout this weekend typically or just the weekend days before MLK day?

    Dear Julie,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

It is very hard to know what crowds will be like on any given day at the Magic Kingdom, but certainly you are correct that school holidays are associated with higher crowd levels since many people do not want to take their children out of school on days that they would miss school.

Honestly, I try not to worry too much about crowd levels because if you have planned your FastPass+ selections, Advanced Dining Reservations, and at least a basic strategy for the day, you will be just fine. My favorite tip is to arrive as early as you can at a park, up to an hour before park opening, to take advantage of lower crowd levels in the early part of the day.

I hope that helps with your magical planning!
