I have booked a surprise DW trip for 6/1-6/5 of next year for my daughter. She will turn 12 right before we go, so it's a b-day present. What should we do or plan for this trip with 12yr old girl in mind?

    Hi Brooke,

What a fantastic birthday surprise you are giving your daughter!  Birthdays are so much more magical when celebrated at Walt Disney World.  I would make Advanced Dining Reservations for her special birthday meal.  If she likes Princesses, consider Cinderella's Royal Table or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot.  You can even order a birthday cake for her!  At Guest Relations at any theme park or Downtown Disney, you can pick up her Happy Birthday button so other guests and Cast Members can help you celebrate.  Once she is at the park, I would let her plan the itinerary.  Upon check-in to your resort, you can get all of the park maps and Times Guides to help as well.  For a special room surprise, I would suggest ordering something from Disney Floral & Gifts.  They have some amazing gifts that your daughter would just love!  You can also book her "First Facial" at Saratoga Springs Spa if she would like this as well.   You know what your daughter would love best, Brooke.  Honestly just being at Disney together as a family is the best gift that you can give her.  The memories that she will have will last a lifetime!  Please let me know if I can help you further with any specifics.  Wish your daughter a very Happy Birthday from all of us at the Moms Panel.  I know your vacation will be MAGICAL!
