I have booked a studio room at the Saratoga Spa Resort for myself, husband, and children; son aged 10 and daughter 4 1/2. Am now thinking the room is unsuitable with the children at very different stages. Any suggestions how I can make changes and to what?

I can certainly understand why one sleeper sofa would not accommodate children of different ages and genders. You could upgrade to a one bedroom at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa which would give you a separate bedroom but no extra beds.  You might want to try one of the family suites at the All-Star Music Resort. These rooms have a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a separate living area with a sleeper sofa, a sleeper chair, and a sleeper ottoman as well a mini-kitchen. The Art of Animation Resort is scheduled to open its family suites in May. I believe you will be happy with the value price of these rooms.

One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is how our four children-ranging in age from 9 to 18- all equally enjoy our trips there.  No matter what sleeping arrangements you end up with both your preschool princess and school age son are going to have a magical time.
