I booked several princess character meals (CRT, Akershus,1900 PF). How would you explain to children why Cinderella looks different at the various locations? I'm sure Disney uses different cast members for each location. My 6-yr-old is very observant.

    Hi, Alexandra!

    Great question!

We have a couple of very observant kids here, too, so I completely understand the forethought needed here. We approached a similar situation when they noticed that Santa looks different at the various shopping malls near our home. As such, we used the same explanation for the differences between princesses at one location verses another. We told the kids that Cinderella (and Santa, and Jasmine, and Ariel, etc.) can't visit with every Guest at every location, so she has helpers fill in wherever and whenever she cannot make it.

For any princess who makes an appearance at more than one location, decide where her home should be (i.e. Cinderella's home, of course, would be in Cinderella Castle) and tell your child that that's the "real" Cinderella. The others are her helpers.)

Our children asked the question even before they saw Cinderella at Cinderella's Royal Table. Our daughter simply realized that she had the option to meet Cinderella in several restaurants, so asked how she could be in more than one place at a time. Thank goodness I could refer back to the Santa's helper situation; it worked like a charm!

Have a magical visit, Alexandra! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
