Just booked our second trip to Disney! We are staying at the CBR. Can you tell me how tall you have to be to go down the water slides at the Feuntes del Morro Pool? Thanks!!

Hi Tiffany! It's a pleasure to chat with you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How exciting to be planning your second trip to Walt Disney World! Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my absolute favorites, and one of the best parts of a stay there is the very cool Fuentes del Morro Pool. The two waterslides in the feature pool area will have your family splashing down over and over again. There's no set height requirement to use them, so your kids can slip and slide at your discretion. You should note that all Guests must slide alone (no lap sitting or tandem rides are allowed). Also, a light at the top of the slide will let them know when it's their turn to go, so kids should be able to follow this simple procedure.

When my son was first starting to brave the pool slides on his own, my husband and I would split up so one of us could go with him to the top of the slide while the other stayed in the pool to "catch" him as he came down. I think this is especially important if your children are beginner swimmers, as the current at the bottom of the slide can be fairly strong. For added safety, there are lifejackets in kids' and adults' sizes available for Guest use.

If your little ones don't want to try the slides in the feature pool, you can always visit the shipwreck splash area right next to it. It's tons of fun, with smaller slides, spray jets, a wading pool, and lots of seating for Mom and Dad. Since this area is meant for younger children it's limited to kids under 48 inches tall, and I've seen the lifeguards strictly enforce it.

I hope this helps you have a splash-tastic time at one of my favorite spots at the Walt Disney World Resort, Tiffany. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
