I have booked a resort vacation, and I have a few gift cards that I’d like to use to pay for a portion of my room. If I check-in online before arrival will I still be able to apply my gift cards toward my room or will my CC be charged automatically?

Hi Kimberly and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to see that you’ve booked your next trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Has the count-down already begun at your house?

Disney Gift Cards are so convenient! The people who know me best, know that a Disney Gift Card will always be appreciated and put to very good use in my hands. With that said, the best way to pay for a portion of your Disney Resort hotel charges with a gift card is by calling (407) 939-5277 to speak with a Resort Reservation Cast Member.

It doesn’t matter if you did an early check-in online because your credit card is not charged until the end of your stay. That gives you plenty of time to make the quick phone call to apply your gift cards toward your vacation balance.

You can also add an additional amount to your Disney Resort hotel room account. That way, when you use your MagicBands to make charges to your room during your adventures at the Walt Disney World Resort, that credit will go toward those purchases. Any charges you make over that additional amount will be charged to the credit card on file.

Kimberly, remember that as a Disney Resort hotel guest, you can start making your FastPass+ selections 60 days before your planned visit. Dining reservations can also be made 180 days before your visit.

I hope I’ve answered your question. Feel free to come back and visit us again if you need any more help with your planning. Have a magical visit!
