I booked a resort room today for 2013 and the prices are not the same as the 2012 rates. Is this the new pricing? also, when I add the MYW package - will it decrease? Will I have to make another deposit?

Hi Mallory, The pricing at Walt Disney World does change year to year, so your price for 2013 will be different from 2012. There are many different factors with respect to pricing. Depending on when you book, be it a value, regular or peak season, your pricing also changes. If you've booked a room-only reservation, and wish to add on a Magic-Your-Way package, your pricing will actually be higher. A MYW package offers different perks and requires the addition of tickets to your reservation. You do get discounts on dining, mini-golf and some dining experiences with a MYW package. Also, if you've booked a room-only ressie, you would need to cancel your previous reservation and make a new MYW reservation. This is just how the Disney reservation system works. In addition, with a room-only reservation, you solely need to leave a deposit of one-night, and the remainder is paid when you arrive at the resort. With a MYW, you need to pay the entire package 45 days prior to arrival. The preference in the package or room only is completely dependent on the type of vacation you and your family would like to have. I hope I've been able to help discern between the two, and if not, please feel free to ask me again! Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie
