After we booked and paid for our disney cruise, I find out that work wont let me go on vacation that week. How can i change to a different week.

    Hi Nancy -

Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel site.  Sorry to hear about your work schedule and the possible forced changes :-(.  That really puts a damper on the vacation planning, but it does happen.  I just hope that you and your family don't come across too many curve balls like this during your countdown to your cruise.

In the event that your schedule does need to be changed, I've found it easiest to call the Disney Cruise Travel Desk directly at (800) 951-3532. Just in case you used a travel agency, they can help you with your trip change requests as well.  There are penalty windows for changes or cancellations.  If you are over 75 days prior to sailing, call DCL now to switch your sail date with no penalty. Unfortunately, penalties will hit you at the 74th day mark prior to sailing:

45-74 days prior to sailing, you lose your deposit
30-44 days prior to sailing, you lose 50% of your vacation cost per person
15-29 days prior to sailing, you lose 75% of your vacation cost per person
14 days or less prior to sailing, you lose 100% of the cost that you've paid

Not sure if you included the Vacation Protection Plan with your cruise plans.  You'll need to review how to file a claim if you did purchase that.

I hope this helps.  Do let us know if you need additional help with planning your upcoming cruise!

    Have a magical day!
