We are booked for Oct 16-20 and are taking our 5 & 2 yr old. I dont want to overwhelm them with a crzy schedule and only got base txts. Any recommendations on what order to visit the parks and top three restaurants?

    Hi Lauren,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are engaged in some careful planning for your little ones! Like you, I kept our schedule simple when our girls were younger.

Since Mickey and Minnie Mouse started dancing with excitement when they heard of your upcoming visit, I would definitely suggest that you visit Magic Kingdom first. What can I say - the castle! There is nothing quite like the magic of Magic Kingdom (no pun intended!). When my girls were younger, they loved the Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight, and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Be sure to review the Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones Guide. It will help you determine which rides and attractions might be suitable for your little ones. Also, be sure to check the height requirements

I would suggest that you visit Animal Kingdom second. The animals fascinate younger children. If you ride Kilimanjaro Safaris in the early morning, you can spend time wandering through the other animal habitats along the trail as you exit the ride. Our girls love the Festival of the Lion King Show. The music, dancing and acrobatics are fantastic! Also, stop by the Boneyard play area. My girls could stay there forever.

Epcot would be a great park to visit third. When my girls were younger, we spent most of our time in Innoventions. There were interactive games that we enjoyed together. Of course, Frozen Ever After is wildly popular so you want to be sure to make a Fast Pass+ reservation! You can also visit Anna and Elsa in Royal Sommerhus.

Finally, you must do a few character meals. Some of our favorites are Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine, and 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner.

Sending pixie dust your way hoping your journey is magical!
