I have booked New Orleans French Quarter for the first part of Labor Day week. I plan to get to Frozen at rope drop. If I want to go thru the WS entrance, how would I do that? Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Diane and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your Labor Day week visit to the place "where dreams come true" will be filled with fun, nostalgia, and adventure. I am excited to help you get to the World Showcase International Gateway and then to Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion because getting around Walt Disney World Resort is what Tiggers like me do best. The fastest way to get to the International Gateway from Disney's Port Orleans-French Quarter is through Disney's Beach Club Resort. Once you get to Disney's Beach Club Resort you have a 0.5 mile walk (7-10 minutes) to Epcot's International Gateway (entrance to the World Showcase). Here are a few options listed by price and speed so you can rope drop Frozen Ever After like a pro.

First, Disney's Beach Club Resort is home to the Cape May Café where Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast is helping Guest fuel up for the day and have a visit from some special Disney friends. Guests will be able to use the complimentary Walt Disney World Bus Service between Resort hotels to get to Resort hotel early dining experiences. These buses usually leave about 45-60 minutes before your dining reservation and may stop at several other Resort hotels to pick up other Guests or drop them off at other early dining experiences. Check with the front desk for the time they are expecting the bus in the morning for these dining experiences. You do not need a dining reservation to get on the bus. Disney does recommend reserving 90 minutes of time when traveling within the Resort property. This is the least expensive way to travel and typically takes the most time. The morning dining experiences are the only ones where buses will travel between Resort hotels.

Uber/Lyft, while not operated by Disney, will cost about $8-15 per trip (prices subject to change and affected by surges) and will take you from your hotel building to the entrance of Disney's Beach Club Resort. I have used Uber/Lyft many times and I have found that some drivers will drop the reservation causing a delay in our pickup as we search for a new driver. The travel time is 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Budget 30 minutes including wait time. This is the option I use most when I do not have my own car to get anywhere early in the morning.

Similar to Uber/Lyft is the Disney/Lyft operated Minnie Van Service. These, like Uber/Lyft, are subject to availability but provide concierge level service transportation with an informative Disney driver and customised Disney song playlists. The price is more expensive but the experience is incomparable. Expect the same amount of time as regular Uber/Lyft but with a Disneyfied flare.

Disney Dad Tip: Get to the International Gateway about 30 minutes before Epcot officially opens then once through, head to the left (away from France Pavilion) to get to Frozen Ever After. It should take you 10 minutes with a medium walking pace to arrive at the Norway Pavilion.

Diane, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
