    Hi Deborah,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love splitting off with one of my daughters for some special time when we are at Walt Disney World.

Have you considered one of the tours or special activities? I did the Behind the Seeds tour with my  daughter when she was 10, and she still talks about how much fun we had. (She's 16 now).

I also highly recommend the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom. It's a three-hour experience that takes you behind the scenes to see many of the animals up close. It includes a bit of  thrill as you walk across swinging bridges over the crocodiles. My friend Andrea brought her 12-year-old son on our trek last fall, and it was a great mother-son bonding experience for them.

I haven't done this one, but if your daughter is interested in marine animals, you can try the Epcot Seas Aqua Tour. Or for there's Disney's Family Magic Tour of Magic Kingdom.

If you are really looking for thrills, check out the offerings at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre. I'm afraid of heights, but several of my Moms Panel friends have had terrific fun tandem parasailing with their children.

For something different and active closer to the ground, you could try the trail rides at the Tri-Circle D Ranch at Fort Wilderness.

I hope these suggestions help. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy!
