We have booked our flights and accommodation for our Disney vacation in April 2015! We will be celebrating our daughter's sweet 16th birthday! We have not been to WDW since 2005, so I'm sure a lot has changed. What is our next steps?

    Hi Susan,

Congratulations on booking your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! The first thing you will want to do is purchase your Theme Park tickets, if you haven't already done so, and link them to your My Disney Experience account. From there, you will be able to take advantage of FastPass+, which allows guests to reserve times for your favorite attractions via the My Disney Experience website or mobile app. FastPass+ reservations are conveniently stored to your ticket or MagicBand. FastPass+ reservations can be made 60 days in advance of check-in for Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests (which is this month for you) or 30 days prior to each vacation day for all other Guests. FastPass+ reservations for popular attractions go fast, so I would recommend booking yours as early as possible.

You will also want to look at making reservations for any table service restaurants you are interested in enjoying. Since dining reservations can be made 180 days prior, I try to make my reservations as early as possible for our last-minute trips. You can make dining reservations online, through the My Disney Experience mobile app, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

Finally, our family always invests in Memory Maker so we can take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers throughout the parks, as well as attraction photos and videos. I would suggest considering that for your trip, as there is usually a discount offered if you purchase it prior to your trip.

Please let me know if there are any other questions I can help you with as you get ready for your trip!
