We have booked our first trip to Disney World from 09/29/12 to 10/13/12. What can we expect in regards to weather and crowd levels? Will it be warm enough for swimming?

    Hi Marcia,

The fall is my favorite time of the year to visit Walt Disney World.  The temperatures are usually with highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's.  It certainly will be warm enough to go swimming.  I would make sure to bring a light jacket because it tends to cool off when the sun goes down.  The crowds are generally lower at this time as well.

I would recommend going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party while you are there.  This is a special event at the Magic Kingdom that requires an additional ticket.  You will be able to dress in costume and go Trick-or-Treating throughout the park.  My family loves this event.  The "Boo to You" Halloween Parade is fantastic and make sure that you see it from the beginning as you will see the Headless Horseman riding down Main Street U.S.A.  I know you will have a magical vacation, Marcia.
