Hi! I just booked our first family trip to Disney World for Sept 2012 with the free quick service dining plan. We are also celebrating our wedding anniversary that week. I want to reserve a breakfast character dining and a dinner as well. Suggestions?

    Hi, Jen!

Happy Anniversary!  Make sure to pick-up your free celebration button at any guest service location.

With your Quick Service Dining Plan, table service and character meals are not included.  You have a few options.  You can either pay out-of-pocket for these special meals OR you can pay a few dollars to upgrade to the Base Disney Dining Plan which includes one quick service credit, one table service credit, and one snack (plus the refillable mug.)  Either way is fine, just wanted you to know that the option to upgrade is available and might save you some money if you plan to have several table service meals.

Now to the fun part:  Where to eat!  You can never go wrong with a character meal at Chef Mickey's (Mickey and his pals), Crystal Palace (Pooh and his silly friends), or Tusker House with Donald Duck.

For a nice - no character - meal, how about an international meal at Chefs de France in Epcot?  Or, head to the Yacht Club for my favorite restaurant, the Yachtsman where they have the best steaks around.  A fun, family dinner can be found at Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.  Awesome food and a really enjoyable night with your crazy servers who might just have a little fun with you!

Let me know if you have more questions about the dining plan or if you need more dining suggestions!  Enjoy your magical celebration in Walt Disney World!
