I booked our first Disney cruise but as I was viewing the kid activities I realized that my 2yr old won't be able to participate in most of them like my 4yr old and cousin. Will they make exception if she potty trained? They do everything together.

    Ahoy, Maria!

Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise! You'll be so happy you've decided to sail with Captain Mickey and his crew. There is so much to see and do on a Disney Cruise Line vacation - for all ages!

The reason we first decided to cruise with Disney (other than our obvious love for all things Mickey) was because of the wonderful Youth Clubs and childcare options available for our children. On our first cruise, our oldest was five, and our little one was two. We were amazed at the awesome spaces and fun activities provided for our kids, and the Youth Counselors were incredibly attentive and engaging! We absolutely loved It's a Small World Nursery for our youngest.

We often get questions about the age divide between the nursery and the Oceaneer Club. The official word from Disney Cruise Line regarding ages for the nursery is as follows:

"All children must be 3 years of age or older and potty trained (able to use the restroom independently) in order to participate in the Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. Children 3 years of age (who are not fully potty trained) and younger may visit Flounders Reef Nursery onboard the Disney Wonder, or “It's A Small World” nursery onboard the Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy."

I was concerned as well about separating my girls when we cruised, but they did great! The counselors do a great job of making each and every child feel welcome and they keep them busy with activities and interaction during their time in their care.

I hope this helps answer your question! Please let us know if we can help with any other questions or concerns before you sail - we want you to have the most magical vacation ever!
