    Florence from MI Asked

We just booked our first Disney Cruise. My concern is we are on Deck 2 and not in the mid ship as I wanted. My question is: Deck 2 seems way to far down on the ship, what should we expect? Can I change to a higher lever deck?

Welcome aboard, Florence! Congratulations on booking your very first cruise with Disney! From the minute you set foot onboard the ship as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival, you'll be in for magical moment after magical moment! I'm excited for your family to experience it all!

You can certainly switch staterooms if you're interested in a different location, as long as other staterooms in your price range are still available. Give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 to ask about this possibility. However, there are some great perks to being on Deck Two. This is a very quiet deck. You're away from the hustle and bustle of the decks that have more than just staterooms on them, so when it's time to retire to your room, you'll enjoy a really peaceful night. Plus, no matter where you are onboard, you're just a quick elevator ride (from Midship, Aft, or Forward) to any deck for any activity. And when you are ready to disembark in each of the ports of call, you'll have a quick walk down one flight to leave the ship. You'll appreciate it even more when it's All Aboard time in the ports and guests are all returning to the ship after a Port Adventures and a really fun, but probably exhausting day exploring the port, waiting for elevators to take them to their decks. You can take one quick flight of stairs up and you're back at your stateroom, ready to relax, shower, and get ready for the night's activities.

There really isn't a bad deck on which to stay, Florence! If you do want to switch, I hope you're able to choose a stateroom that looks best for your family. But, if you stick with this stateroom, I am sure you're in for a great cruise too! Have fun planning, and please stop back with any other questions you might have. We're happy to help!
