Just booked first cruise, stateroom 6656 on the Fantasy and my husband is concerned about noise from the Oceaneer Lab on the deck below. Is it very noisy? If so, are there quieter hours?

    Hi Joe!

Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.  Great to hear that you are sailing with Captain Mickey for the very first time. You'll surely have an awesome voyage on the majestic Disney Fantasy.

You've got a cool stateroom picked on Deck 6. My family likes to be on that Deck too since it is only 1 floor away from the Youth Clubs, and you don't have to bother with the elevators. Kids literally dash over to the clubs and head back to the room quickly.  You won't really hear anything from the lower decks from your stateroom. I don't think you'll even be able to tell that you are that close to the youth clubs if you are in your stateroom.

I like that deck too, since it is an easy walk down the stairs to get to the shows at the Walt Disney Theaters, the atrium and the shops on Deck 5. In the evenings, the elevators tend to get packed and you might wait a little. If you like stairs, then at least you won't have to wait in line for the elevators. You're also a stairwell away from Deck 4 to get down to the Adult Lounges where you can unwind for the evening. You might be feasting every night, so it doesn't hurt to do some walking up and down the stairs anyway, if you are able to. I always find that as a plus, when I'm on Deck 6. My family and I can just take the stairs a couple of decks down to go to our Dining Room every night. Here's a new video link too, just to keep you excited for your upcoming cruise.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need additional help in planning.

    Have a magical day!
