We just booked our family vacation, and I was wondering if the deposit counts toward our total for the package? Because I paid extra with the deposit and it looks like just the extra was taken off our remaining balance. Thanks.

    Hi Kristin!

How exciting to book your Walt Disney World adventure.   I bet you are getting so excited to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.   I know I always bounce around my house like Tigger each time I have a trip planned. I get so excited knowing I will be making unforgettable memories with my family.

When you booked your reservation you had to pay a deposit.   Once you pay the deposit you should see the remaining balance left to pay.  Your deposit does go toward the total cost of the trip.   I sometimes get confused as the remaining balance I see already has my deposit taken out of it.   This may be the case for you.   I do suggest if you have any questions about your reservation that you call whomever you booked the travel through.   For example if you booked through a travel agent you would need to contact them and they could walk you through what you owe.  If you booked directly through Disney you can reach a Cast Member who can help at (407) 939-1936.   When you call have your confirmation number handy and that will speed up the process.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel today, Kristin.   If you have any other questions about your trip, please come by and visit us again.  We love to help whenever we have the chance.
