Just booked dolphin in depth! I am huge into pictures...are cameras allowed? Also will there be a photopass photographer there to take pictures?

    Hi Andrea,

I took the Dolphins in Depth tour with my family about a year ago. I had never experienced any sort of dolphin encounter before and found the entire thing fascinating.

I too am a photographer so I understand your desire to take lots of great shots. Unfortunately, cameras are not allowed during the tour.

As part of the package, you do receive one photo per person of you with the dolphin. I went on the tour with my husband and three daughters, so we were allowed to have five photos taken. We could have had one of each person with the dolphin. Instead we elected to have each of the girls take a solo shot with the dolphin. My husband elected to use his photo allotment to get a picture of all three girls together with the dolphin. I elected to use my photo allotment to get a picture of the entire family with the dolphin.

I have to say that the quality of the photos is not spectacular. They're taken by the trainers in the aquarium, not by PhotoPass professionals. The lighting is tricky with reflections from the water. Also, you are given a photo print, not a JPEG. My shots had uncorrected red eye and glare issues. I ended up scanning the photo prints and doing some PhotoShop corrections on the scan.
