We just booked our Disney World vacation for 12/26 through 12/30. I am reading that it can be super busy during that time. What is the best way to get the most out of our vacation and make sure our son gets to see the parks?

Hi, Melissa! You're right, the parks will be super busy between Christmas and New Years, but don't let that sour the awesomesauce of a Disney vacation. One of the biggest benefits of visiting Disney World during holidays and peak seasons is that the parks have extended hours in the mornings and in the evenings to help guests get the most mileage out of their vacations.

Taking advantage of the early morning hours is key. Plan on arriving a good 30 minutes before a park is set to open. Then, follow a good touring plan to help you see everything on your list. The folks at TouringPlans.com have touring plans especially engineered for visiting during busy holidays.

Also, don't overlook the importance of taking a midday break. The parks are packed in the early afternoon. If you use that time for your son to rest up, you'll be able to extend your day and be rested in the evening to take advantage of the park hours at night.
