Hi!! I booked a 9 day vacation in may 2011 to celebrate my sons 5th Birthday, It will only be us two, any suggestions on how to make it super special??

    Hi Yessica!

There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World!

A character breakfast is a great way to start the day.  I would recommend booking Chef Mickey's.  It is located at the Contemporary Resort.  The characters ready to celebrate with your son include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy.  Bring a birthday card for all the characters to sign rather than an autograph book.  It makes for a great birthday souvenir.   You can make your dining reservations by calling (407) WDW-DINE or you can click here to make your reservations online.

Once you are at the parks pick up a free Happy Birthday button at Guest Services.  You will be stopped by countless cast members throughout the day who will wish your son Happy Birthday!

You can bring some decorations from home to decorate your room while he is sleeping or you can have the dream makers at the Disney florist do it for you.  You can visit their website at www.disneyflorist.com for ideas and prices.

If you are planning any table service meals that night you can order a birthday cake.  Disney offers 2 different types of birthday cakes.  A 6 inch celebration cake is $21.00 that you can pre-order when you book your reservation or a more personalized cake that can be arranged by calling the cake hotline at (407) 827-2253.  Prices vary for these cakes and 48 hours notice is required.
