We booked a 4 day cruise in January and are going to add on a 4 day WDW resort vacation onto that. For planning purposes with Fast Pass +, what time will the DCL shuttle pick us up from Port Canaveral and about when will we arrive at our resort?

    Hi, Rebecca -

What a great question -- thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with it. The Land and Sea vacations are my favorite types of family getaways. There's always something for everyone with this type of vacation. I was planning around this same exact topic just over a couple of weeks ago, when I was preparing for our Bahamian voyage. Isn't it convenient to be able to plan the rest of your vacation at the Parks through your computer? I had major success just last week.

My family and I like to take the last morning as leisurely as we can. It's really hard to leave the Disney Cruise, and we seem to move slow motion the morning of disembarkation. Just last week, we must have been one of the last few off the ship, as we exited the port and boarded the Disney Cruise Line motor coach to take us back to the Disney Resort for our post cruise stay. The motor coaches that take you from Port Canaveral back the Disney Resorts run continuously in the morning. We boarded around 9:30am or so, and we reached the resort at around 11'ish since we had 3 resort stops to drop off other guests at. We left our luggage with bell services, since our room wasn't ready, and we hopped on the bus to Hollywood Studios. We were at the park before noon, and managed to grab a snack and a drink (and of course take pictures), since we weren't that hungry for lunch yet. Our first Fast Pass+ was at 1:00 and we made it right on time. Our other 2 chosen attractions were spaced about an hour or two from there, and everything was just right and seemed perfectly timed. We felt that we were able to enjoy the park with just over 5 minutes of waiting time in the Fast Pass+ return lines. We never felt rushed at all.

The ship usually gets cleared by US Customs at around 7:30am, so you really could disembark right around that time. Just plan on some of the waiting times at customs as well as waiting times when on the motor coach.
