    Shelby from WA Asked

We booked a cruise with family for next September, and we just found out we are due in April! The Cruise is at the end of the month, so our baby will be almost 6 months, but potentially not quite. What do we do?!?!

    Ahoy, Shelby!
Congratulations on your exciting news! I'm sure you are glowing with the news of another prince or princess in the family!
I think my best advice is to see if you can push back your cruise date because of the unknown arrival date of your newest family member. Disney Cruise Line does have a minimum age policy in place that requires infants to be at least six months of age by the sail date (one year of age for Transatlantic, Hawaii and Panama Canal cruises). If there is not flexibility with your travel date, you still have time to cancel or move the date once he/she arrives in April. Final payment is not due until 90 days prior to departure on seven-night sailings for a non-suite stateroom and 75 days for a sailing between 1-5 nights. You can easily move your deposit to another sailing as long as there is availability. The downside to waiting until April is a possible price increase and you may not get the exact stateroom location you desire. No matter when you decide to cruise, I highly recommend travel insurance. This will give you piece of mind about your vacation investment especially given all that you will have going on the next year.
I know a Disney Cruise Line reservation agent can assist you with altering your number of stateroom occupants and/or price out possible backup dates. The number to call is (800) 951-3532. Good luck with your pregnancy, Shelby! Please let us know if we can assist you further.
    Have a magical day!
