Hi MOMS, We have booked our campsite at Fort Wilderness for December 2012. My question is, how necessary is it to rent a golf cart to get to the comfort stations, etc? Are we allowed to bring in a golf cart that we rent from another company?

Hi Aaro!  That is wonderful that you are staying at the Fort Wilderness Campground.  It is not necessary to have a golf cart but it will make it faster to get around the campground.  The
Bike Barn in the Meadows area have golf carts available to rent for those staying on the campground. Guest must be over 18 years old to rent one with a valid driver's license and at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license to drive one.  You may rent a golf cart from a commercial cart rental company, however you will need to arrange to pick this up or transport them yourself.  Off site rentals can be a hassle, and they usually only save some money for rentals longer than 10 days.  Remember most of those companies only work Monday through Friday.  I hope you have a wonderful time at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds this December!!
