I just booked breakfast reservations at Chef Mickeys for breakfast at 7:45. We are staying at the AOA what time would I need to leave to catch a bus to make our reservation and how do I find out if the busses are running that early?

Hi Heather! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love your name by the way!

Chef Mickey’s is one of my family’s favorite places to have breakfast at. The atmosphere is so fun, the character interactions have always been fantastic, and the food choices are plentiful. There is truly something that I think everyone can enjoy eating at this breakfast. My kids especially love that they not only have a place that they can get their own hot food from, but they also love that they can get their own cereal, and get to twirl their napkins around in the air.

Complimentary Resort Transportation begins approximately one hour before park opening. They suggest that you leave approximately 60-90 minutes for transportation around the Walt Disney World Resort. It has been my experience that it takes on average 30-45 minutes to get from place to place, however this is all dependent on traffic, driving conditions, and crowd levels. To get to Disney’s Contemporary Resort from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, I would suggest taking a bus from your resort to Magic Kingdom Park. From Magic Kingdom you could either walk to Disney’s Contemporary Resort or take the Monorail. If you find that you won’t be able to get to your reservation on time because the buses are not running that early; then I would suggest calling a cab. I always go to the Concierge desk at my resort hotel and they are able to assist me when calling for a cab.

I hope that you have a wonderful time! Come back and see us real soon!
