We booked a 2 bedroom villa with one other family. Since there is only 1 reservation number, I was wondering if this will cause any problems with making dining reservations, FP, or receiving our magic bands. We won't be making all the same plans. Thanks!

    Hi Casey!

Disney is a popular place for family reunions and large groups to travel, so I think this is probably a question many Guests have. My family frequently travels with friends and extended family, so I have had some experience with exactly what you are asking about!

First, you’ll want to make sure that each family has it’s own My Disney Experience Account, and that you are linked in your accounts as Friends & Family. Usually the box of Magic Bands contains all the bands for one reservation and ships to one address. You can choose the address that you want the box to ship to, but then you would need to get the one set of Magic Bands to the other family.

For FastPass+ reservations, it is easy to choose which members of the party will be doing which attraction. Members of the party do not have to all have the same FastPass+ selections. On our most recent trip we reserved FastPass+ for my husband, my sons and I on Space Mountain while we sent my parents to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin with their own FastPass+.

When making Advance Dining Reservations, you’ll want to select which members of the party are attending each reservation. This should allow you to book separate Advance Dining Reservations at the same time. If you do have trouble doing this online, a Cast Member should be help you if you call to make your Advance Dining Reservations over the phone.

You may want to consider purchasing Disney's Memory Maker as a group. Since you are all part of the same resort reservation, and your bands will be linked in My Disney Experience, you each be able to add your photos to the account.

Have fun as you plan your upcoming trip. Please let me know if you have more questions as your trip gets closer. I love helping large groups plan their vacations!
