I want to book a trip for Jan of 2019. When will the window open for that time frame?

Hello there, Omega! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

January is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you are traveling for runDisney's Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, or during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, there is always so much to see and do during your vacation! I've always found the weather to be quite pleasant during this time of year as well, even if it does get on the chilly side occasionally. My advice: dress in layers and bring a jacket or two, just in case!

Vacation packages for the following year are typically released during the previous summer. For a 2019 vacation package, I would expect a release around mid-June 2018, give or take a few days. However, you can book a room-only reservation now, by calling (407) 939-1936 and speaking with a friendly Cast Member. This can be done up to 499 days in advance. By doing so, you'll have your Disney Resort hotel secured for the dates you want. Then you can add tickets and dining plans once the packages are released. I've done this a few times and the process is extremely easy, especially when done over the phone. The Cast Members I've spoken with have always been so helpful, and I smile the entire time that I listen to the Disney "hold music." It's magical!

Enjoy planning your upcoming vacation, Omega, and please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
