Do we book a time to board the cruise ship as well as for disembarkation?

    Hi, Lisa!

When you check in online at the DisneyCruise.com Planning Center, you will be asked to provide an estimated arrival time at the port in order to stagger registration for guests.  This is more important at Port Canaveral for the larger ships (Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy) since there are more guests boarding in the same time frame. However, I've never been refused entrance into the terminal because it wasn't my "turn." It just helps the check-in staff to plan for embarkation. Once you check in, you'll receive a boarding group number, and you'll hear the announcements of when you'll be able to board.

For debarkation, you'll need to provide Disney Cruise Line with your departure information -- either in your cruise documents or by completing the online check-in process at DisneyCruise.com. You'll be assigned a debarkation group by character (Ariel, Chip n' Dale, Minnie, Tinker Bell, etc.) -- according to what luggage tags you received the previous night.  Should you have an early flight, you'll need to alert Guest Services a couple of days in advance of debarkation in order for you to be of the first guests off the ship. Usually, debarkation begins as early as 7:30 a.m., and every guest is off the ship by 9 a.m. It's a quick process...which is unfortunate for those of us who are reluctant to leave!

Best wishes as you travel, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
