Hello, do you have to book thru Disney to get the benefits, like early fastpass etc if staying at a Disney springs hotel like doubletree suites hilton for example, and also the resort fee ? its all a bit confusing trying to find specific answers, thanks

Paul, there are seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels that are located within walking distance of Disney Springs and are only a 10-minute shuttle ride to the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Last year, these hotels gained access to exclusive Walt Disney World Resort hotel perks such as Extra Magic Hours and the ability to make FastPass+ reservations 60 days before arrival. You get access to these benefits whether you book through the hotel or if you call the Walt Disney Travel Company at 0800 169 0730. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando was recently renovated, and their suites are perfect for larger families. The representative I spoke with said there is a daily Resort Fee of $15.19 (this price is subject to change).

Guests at the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels who have valid theme park tickets and a hotel reservation number can link their reservation using the MyDisneyExperience website. You'll need to do this to get your 60-day booking window for FastPass+. Remember to set a reminder to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days before your vacation at 7:00 AM EST (11:00 GMT). You don't want to miss out on riding Avatar Flight of Passage!

Extra Magic Hours allows on-site resort hotel Guests the opportunity to enjoy select attractions in one of the Parks each day, before or after regular operating hours. Take a look at the Walt Disney World Park Hours calendar for the upcoming schedule. There hasn't been any official word yet, but maybe they will be offered for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge while you're there- keeping my fingers crossed!

    Have a great holiday, Paul!
