I was going to book a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table and it stated that they wanted an advance credit card payment of $188. I have the dining plan and thought that it required two tickets each (which I am ok with), so why the advance payment?

    Hi Tamie,

I hope you enjoy Cinderella's Royal Table. This was a favorite restaurant of my daughters' when they were into the princesses. My youngest loved Cinderella who has a special place in my heart. She was the first character my daughter talked to and helped eased the transition to the other characters.

Because there are extremely limited tables at this restaurant, Disney asks for a hold on your credit card. However, you will not be charged unless you cancel without proper notice or you do not show up for your Advance Dining Reservation. Often, guests would book an Advance Dining Reservation and not show up. Since most guests realize how hard it is to book this particular restaurant, they do not think about walking up to see if there is an open table. Thus the table goes empty.

When you show up to dine, the server will ask you how you are paying and they will simply take your table credits from your dining plan.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
