If book my May 2015 trip(hotel, dinning, parks)now what is the timeline i have to cancel without occuring cancelations fees? And if there are fees what are they?I wanted to book soon but not sure i work will confirm those date and i dont want to be charged

    Hi Debbie,

I love that you are already making plans for your next year's Walt Disney World vacation.  I personally think that planning your vacation is a big part of the fun!

For Disney Vacation Packages (Resort hotel room, theme park tickets, and optional dining plan), the cancellation fees are as follows:
    • For cancellations 45 days or more prior to arrival there is no cancellation fee
    • For cancellations from 2 - 44 days prior to arrival there is a $200 cancellation fee
    • For cancellations 1 day prior the entire package price is non-refundable

Debbie since the May 2015 Vacation Package prices haven't been released, you aren't able to book a package just yet.  However, I would like to suggest another option for you.  You may book a "Room Only" reservation at one of the Disney Resort hotels up to 499 days prior to arrival.  You will be charged a single night's stay as deposit (based on current room rates) and you can cancel or change up until 5 days prior to arrival without penalty.  Furthermore you can convert your room only reservation to a Disney Vacation Package at a later date when your vacation plans have firmed up and the Vacation Packages have been released.  If you wish to make one of these reservations, you should call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone number listed in this link.

Thank you for submitting your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I hope we hear more from you as you continue to make your Disney vacation plans.  We are here to help with all of your Disney vacation planning questions!
