Just book our first family vacation for Disney in August!!! We are very excited, however I am a little Overwhelmed... I just don't know where to start, any suggestions ?

Hello, Melissal! I am so happy that you and your family will get to experience the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation this summer. There's something so special about a first Walt Disney World vacation, and I am sure that you and your family will make many magical memories together.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to set up a My Disney Experience account. You can use this account to link tickets, FastPass+ selections, advance dining reservations, and Disney Resort hotel reservations. You can book dining reservations up to 180 days in advance of your trip, so if you haven't already selected a special Character Dining meal (or two!) now would be a good time to go ahead and reserve one for your August trip.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you will be able to make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance of your vacation, so I encourage you to get familiar with the attractions at each of the theme parks so that you have a general idea of which ones to choose. You will be able to select an initial three FastPass+ attractions at one theme park each day of your vacation, so it helps to have an idea of which attractions you and your family look forward to experiencing the most. If you choose to stay off-site, you will be able to select your FastPass+ attractions up to 30 days in advance with valid theme park admission linked to your Disney account.

If you would like personalized recommendations for dining, FastPass+ selections or anything else, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. I would be happy to help you add even more pixie dust to your family's vacation plans, Melissal! Have a magical day.
