Hello! If I book a fast pass for my 3 year old but she decides she doesn’t want to ride that ride, can I give her magic band to my oldest child so that she can use that fast pass that my youngest doesn’t need?

    Hi Erica!

It is especially difficult to plan the vacation with younger children who are still in the uncomfortable stages with new things. I have a grandson who talks up a big storm saying he will do the coasters and once he gets there he balks and doesn’t get on them. So I understand why you are asking about interchanging a band if necessary.

The official answer to this is no as Magic Bands are not interchangeable. Each one will hold that particular guests information for their Disney stay. But because it is Christmas I am going to go ahead and give you my answer which is yes. If you find that one child becomes unable to use their FastPass go ahead and change bands and let one of your other children enjoy the ride. You are not taking the spot from someone else by doing this as the FastPass has already been reserved for that time. Hopefully your three year old will love every experience that has been planned for them but it is good to go into a park with a plan.

Don’t forget you can also use the Rider Switch service for most attractions. This would work out well for you as you can all stand in line, get the rider switch card from the cast member, have half of the family enjoy the ride, then switch to stay with the three year old and hop on with another member of the family even if they just rode the attraction themselves.

You have options so no worries!
