If I book a Disney hotel through another site, can I link it to a MagicBand?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Megan! Thanks for bringing us your question about linking reservations to your My Disney Experience account!

When it comes to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I’d like to think of your My Disney Experience account as your information hub. When all necessary information like hotel, dining and FastPass+ reservations are linked to your My Disney Experience account, all the details of your magical stay are in the same place. Your MagicBand then becomes the quickest way to access all that information, especially when you’re a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, because it becomes your room key!

Yes, you can link your hotel reservation to your account. When you do that, you will be able to use any MagicBands linked to your account. You can enter your hotel confirmation number, theme park ticket information, or MagicBand information using this link. Follow the steps and before you know it, you’re ready for your visit to the happiest place on earth!

You can also link any hotel or dining reservations using your My Disney Experience app. Access your app then go to “My Plans” you will see options to link dining, link hotel or you can even make new dining reservations by tapping on “Reserve Dining.”

Megan, don’t forget that as a Disney Resort hotel guest, you will be able to enjoy lots of benefits. Complimentary MagicBands, the ability to make FastPass+ reservations 60 days before your vacation and Extra Magic Hours, time in the theme parks that you and your party can enjoy that’s exclusively for Disney Resort hotel guests, are just a few benefits.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us soon!
