About to book a 3 day trip on Dream (April or May 2016). Looks like only dinner option is the second seating. Kids are 3 and 1 -- melt down if not fed by 5 and sleeping by 7. Is our only option buffet? was hoping to visit the dining room at least once

    Ahoy, Michelle!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I completely understand your worries about dining with your little ones while onboard. If you have booked your cruise vacation, go ahead and call Disney Cruise Line (1-800-951-3532) and have them add your main seating dining request to your reservation. Guests may cancel their cruise or change their seating, so you may get moved before you set sail. If you don't get changed prior to sailing, there is an opportunity to move your seating once you board the ship. On the front page of your first daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, there will be directions on how to go about this request. You will receive the newsletter at check-in. If for some reason there is no availability, you may want to consider "it's a small world" nursery so you can experience the main dining rooms during your cruise. For a nominal hourly fee (two-hour minimum) your little sailors can snooze in the nursery while you eat. Advanced reservations can be made online or once onboard and are first-come, first-served. Early dinner options include room service, quick service on the pool deck and Cabanas. Cabanas is a more relaxed sit-down experience at night and does offer many of the same dishes as the main dining rooms. It is usually open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
I'm sending pixie dust your way, Michelle! If you have any further questions, please let us know!
    Good luck!
