Does Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have extra magic hours? What time of the day does the crowd level generally peak?

Hi, Emmalea! Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon do have Extra Magic Hours, and you would be very wise to take advantage of them. They are usually for one day a week (per park) during the summer months -- June, July and August -- and you can find out specifics by going to the calendars for each of the parks. As far as what time of day the crowd levels peak, I would guess around lunch (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) based on my experiences.

For water parks, I always advise a few simple suggestions:

    • Rent a locker if someone from your group is not stationary (i.e. staying in the children's area or by the wave pool).
    • Wear water-proof shoes if you have tender feet -- flip flops aren't usually a good idea.
    • Purchase or bring a small water-proof container that hangs around your neck to carry such things as glasses, credit card, Keys to the World, Photopasses, etc. (My husband lost his glasses in the shark reef at TL...wish I was kidding!)
    • Try the donuts...you can't leave a Disney water park without trying a few...or a few dozen!

I hope you have a wonderfully wet time at Disney's water parks, and be very careful. Have a magical vacation!
