I am going to Blizzard beach for the 1st time in a month's time with my 2.5yr old. What are the changing facilities like for families? Do people get properly dressed after or just get the shuttle to/from the hotel in swim wear? Thank you!

    Hi Natalie!

I'm so excited you'll be visiting a Walt Disney World water park on your next Walt Disney World vacation! My family loves splashing around all year round at the water parks and you've chosen a great one!

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is uniquely themed to transport you and your family to a ski resort, but in the middle of the Sunshine State! This park is perfect for toddlers. I highly recommend heading over to Tike's Peak when you first arrive to secure chairs for the day. This area is just for the little ones under 48 inches, so I bet you'll spend a lot of time there. My daughter loves to race me down the slides and spends so much time at the very top where the smallest slides are. Take a look at all of the attractions. Any attraction classified as "Any Height" is available for your toddler to enjoy.

The women's restroom facilities at Blizzard Beach offer toilets, showers and changing areas with curtains. I consulted with my husband about the men's facilities and he said they don't have curtain changing areas, so that seems to be the only difference between mens and womens.

I think it's a personal preference if you get fully changed to head back to your Resort hotel or not. I have done both as sometimes the facilities are too crowded at the end of the day or I'll just change the kids and wait to get dressed myself until we are back to the room. The weather could also be a deciding factor for you as sometimes there could be a little wind chill in early March and the Disney buses are air conditioned. Wet clothes and a cold bus make for a not so pleasant ride.

    Have a magical day!
