How big are the refillable mugs that you get with the dining plan? I'm trying to figure out beverages to carry around the park, as I like to use as small a bag as possible. Thank you.

    Hi, Heather!

I love getting my Refillable Mug when I am at Walt Disney World. Lounging by the pool with a cool soft drink is the perfect way to relax. I also love having 2 kids that need to get mommy refills every once in a while!

The Refillable Mugs are insulated and hold about 16 ounces. There is a lid with a slide (straw size) opening, but they are NOT water tight and will spill if put into a bag. These mugs are intended for use at the Disney Resort hotels, as complimentary refills are not offered with the mugs in the parks. After you enjoy your morning coffee or tea, simply leave your mug in your room. One less thing to carry around!

When on the Disney Dining Plan, a beverage is included with your meal. You can also ask for complimentary cups of ice water at any counter service location, so you really do not even have to carry around bulky water bottles. Hooray - that bag of yours is getting smaller and smaller!

Here is what I usually toss in my tote bag for the parks: sunglasses, sunscreen, hand wipes, phone and charger, umbrella (if rain forecasted), and a lightweight jacket (depending on the weather). That's it! I like to keep it light! With all the walking, the last thing I need is to add a heavy bag.

Enjoy your magical vacation and your super Refillable Mug. Don't forget that the mug is yours to keep as a fun souvenir. Have fun!
