Hi! How big of a bag can you take on the rides?

    Hi Kayla!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Of the many, many, MANY reasons why I love Walt Disney World Resort, one is that you’re allowed to take a bag with you on many attractions. Some theme parks make you store your bag in a non-complimentary locker. But not Disney, which is great when a standby queue is really long! (Since becoming a mom I’ll actually bring two bags with us – one is the big diaper bag with everything for the day that stays in the stroller, and the other is a small ‘Line Only’ bag that has just a few snacks and a couple of distracting toys.)

Walt Disney World Resort does request that bags that enter the parks be no larger than 24" by 15" by 18", which is the size of a small suitcase. (Some people come directly from the airport so they have to bring their luggage with them!) As for your daily park bag, there isn't really a size limit for attraction purposes. Do keep in mind that bigger bags, like backpacks and totes, will usually have to sit at your feet or under your legs, so do bring the bag that is able to close completely so your stuff doesn't spill out. Pro Tip: Step through the straps while on a wild ride to help secure your bag.

What I also love about Walt Disney World Resort is since the invention of MagicBands, my park bag has become a LOT smaller! MagicBands are your Park Ticket, PhotoPass link, and FastPass+ holder all in one. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, a MagicBand will also serve as your room key, digital wallet, and can access any Dining Plan Entitlements you may have. When traveling solo I literally just need my phone and MagicBand for a day of Disney fun!

We’ll See You Real Soon, Kayla!
